MCA EGM’S RESULT

10 10 2009

The saying goes, Rome was not built in one day holds true to the short legacy of Ong when he was voted out by his own party delegates of over 2000 in today’s votes casting. Chua’s bid to be reinstated to his old post of Deputy President failed as he was short of a few votes. But Chua can now draw a sigh of relief as the preident’s decision to sack him was challeged by delegates and he is now an ordinary member.

I think Chua is more than satisfied with today’s outcome considering his state of oblivion days after being unceremoniously sacked by Ong despite the case being highlighted long before.

The big question mark is who will be the president now as both Chua and Ong are no longer the possible candidates as both we obviously rejected by majority of delegates. In democracy all it needs is majority though a slight edge with one vote does matter already.

Some say that whoever becomes the president has nothing to do with UMNO. How can some umno leaders have opined as such as they realise should chinese supports keep dwindling , BN would be in danger in the PRU 13 which will be held within three years’ time from now.

Personally, i don’t care whoever stumbled down the road to fame and glory. At least to have Chua downed is a positive sign which indicates that people loathe to have leaders whose morality is subject to scrutiny. How could they have leaders who indulged in tyrst.

Above all, that is politics, only those with heart as bold as lion can withstand trials and tribulations.

quash the idea – lavish memorial – greatest show on earth – bid a final farewell – guest list – the send off – details kept under wraps – makeshift shrine of flowers – skyrocketed – in the wake of micheal death

Many ardent fans of the jacko quashed the idea that the send off was a lavish memorial event. It is learnt that it cost over 1 million to prepare for the grand sending off ceremony. The jacko was slated to perform the greatest show on earth in August. Nonetheless, he forced others to bid him farewell much earlier because of his suddent death. People started wondering about the final resting place of the lagendary singer. Details of his body were kept under wraps. Outside the building where the concert was held, makeshift shrine of flowers were set up. The album sale for his last album skyrocketted the minutes after the news of his sudden death. The most controversial confession took place days after the send off ceremony. La toya, Jacko sister believed that his brother was killed not due to other complication. In the wake of the jacko death, people especially micheal fans and religious people alike started arguing the final resting place of the jacko’s lifeless body.

TREAT THOSE TWO IMPOSTORS JUST THE SAME

23 07 2009

When i typed the word treat two impostors the same, there emerged a few links related to the words typed. I was a bit surprised to find one blogger which mentioned the poem he found on the sign on the door leading to Centre Court at Wimbeldon. I myself was so inspired with the quotes displayed on the sign. It proved that it was not me alone who was inspired by the words but others the world over as well.

What a great poem written by Rudyard Kipling. He was a navigator and his unrelenting spirt soared no matter what confront him. He prefered to be humble despite overwhelming success he experience as he knew success and defeat comes alternate ways.

LAISA MINAL KIZBI MAN ASLAHA BAINAANAAS

20 07 2009

Last night I attended a kuliyah of Ust Azhar at Surau Gelong Bilal. There were hundreds of people that the congregation had to sit at an open air on a  laid flying sheet on rough cemented floor. His ingenunity drew throngs of people from all walks of life to lend their ears for religious knowledge. Hundreds of motorcycles seen properly parked outside the musolla. I think most the motorcycles belong to the youth as Ust Azhar has a reputation of a rocker cum ustaz. He has his own following which keeps growing in numbers over the years. His not-so-good youth days is his main asset which commands respect from the youth. Besides all the above mentioned, another criterion which should not be simply overlooked is his sense of humour. His mild attack against JKK and other joking dialogues put others in giggles at times. This, i think is  crucial element as well in public speaking as people are not a robot. They sometimes need to laugh even to laugh at themselves because laughing itself is medicine.

What i am trying to highlight in this entry is his explanation about the concept of lying. He said according to Islam, we are allowed no to tell the truth when it comes into three circumstances. First, to reconcile between two dissenting groups or people. We can act as a peace maker by telling  a lie. Second, we are allowed to tell a lie so that it can help alleviate the sadness or trouble faced by someone. There was a hadith mentioning about this which can be loosely translated as those resorting to lie in order to reconcile between two people is not considered as lying.

To lie is not like what the western believe, of course the western beleive everyone is entitled to know the truth, and it is up to them to act on the fact or the truth. They argue that if we tell them lies we actually rob them their rights to know the truth. Our sin is no different from stealing as we steal someone’s right to know the truth. But, according to Islam,it is  better to hide the truth if it brings more harm than good. So, we have to be selective in disseminating information or knowledge for fearing it will bring more damage to others.

When we are trapped in a traffic jam and might miss the prayers due to the jam. We are strongly advised to perform  prayers as a sign of respect to the designated prayers’ time. But we have to do the prayers again once we reach our destination.

During his kulliyah he mentioned a few things we muslim are strongly encouraged to do during the celebration of eidul fitri and eidul adha. People are advised to wear new clothes and apply some fragrant provided allowed by syariah not having alcohol substance. We are also asked to use different routes on our way to and back from the mosque. The night before the celebration day, we are supposed to chant All is the greatest as many times as possible. He said, what happens nowadays is different as many people from either pious families resort to entertainment which was aired by a few channels in the tube.

Meeting with Zul

I was about to leave the ATM machine attached to security guard booth at the entrance of UMT when someone grabbed my shoulder. He was Zul, my classmate for master degree. Before he could open his mouth i asked him his thesis. He told me that he wanted to change supervisor as his present supervisor is so strict and meticulous. He asked me about Mr Roslan and Gobala. Both are available i think. But the thing is we just want to pass the final part of our master that is to submit the thesis no matter who the lecturer is . His most logical reason is logistic , we don’t need to spend much time travelling to either KL or Kuantan as Rozlan resides in Dungun, far nearer compared with the other two places. Nevertheless i could not simply with him as i don’t want to part with my current supervisor as he is very experienced and talented in his field that nobody can challenge his field of expertise. so, i think i will stick to Dr J as i have learnt somethng from him and i think i will learn lots and lots more from him as never before within this two months’ period.

Hitting One Thousand Words

Why it is so hard to hit one thousand words .. i feel dearth of ideas now and don’t know what else to write now. But, i need to write as this is my new promise to myself to tap my language skills. Why don’t i talk about my car. At least i makes sense as i will help me equip myself with new ideas. There are a few more things i should do to my bettle. First and foremost i need to send to the mend  the leakage which comes from both sides of the front body. Then, i need to apply anti rust paint to the inside parts of both rear and front bumpers. Third, i hit the tree at Yayasan Islam building last two months. It dented a bit which the the left part of the front bumper is reduced curve inwards. Radio cassette should be rewired after being taken out to repair the body due to the accident at Kg Gawi ,Tasik Kenyir last two months. Then, i also think of carpetting the inside part of the car and install air conditioner. All the said requires a budget of at least 5 k. Meaning that i can’t sell my car anymore as i have spent over 12 thousand already excluding the new budget. Unless or until i found a new classic model bettle, i at that time will have to think about it as my long awaited time has come. But, until now, the only car i possess is JJ.

THE DEATH NEXT DOOR

25 06 2009

Everyone will face death no matter where they are or who they are. They can’t escape death, it is just a matter of time. Last night, came the time for my neighbor to meet her Creator, also everyone creator. Except atheists who are stubborn to accept the fact that God exists.

Mek Sun who had her leg amputated passed away a few hours after that. It is believed that she was straight away warded to common ward despite the fact that she was suffering from heart attack and other side health complications.

According to her daughter, Nomi, her mother was thirsty  before her death and ….

A MEETING WITH SIR KARIM

23 06 2009

As usual, his demeanour maintains, spirited and motivated especially when the topic revolves around English PMR. What a great teacher he is, his priority towards students’ excellence is clear manifestation during the short conversation. But, i don’t want to indulge into this matter as i have something rather important to highlight here. I need to jot the ideas down the soonest possible as i am afraid that they might slip from my memory the way the water poured on banana leaves.

He said, students must be given encouragement in constant otherwise they might divert to other direction. He gave one student A for English though the student only managed to get 29 for paper 1. Usually, those getting 35 correct answers only could secure A with ease or withour much difficulties. That means the student did extremely well for his paper 2. I was quite proud when he mentioned to me ‘your student’ as the boy is my former student when i was teaching at smaasza. I remember he voluntarily stood up to voice his protest against the decision to transfer me to another school at that time.

Besides giving encouragement, Sir Karim also highlighted the importance of teaching students on how to construct an essay which includes elements such as current issues and without naive mistakes or errors. I mean the errors that eveyone should by all means avoid at all such as at there and so on.

Third, the book just distributed by JPN last a couple of days should be fully utilised as it was compiled and produced by JPN itself.

To sir Karim, thank you.

AMICABLE SOLUTION BETWEEN TOK GURU AND UST NASA

23 06 2009

What a great step taken by both dissenting parties over look like trivial but big issues yesterday morning in a meeting held in KL. Both Nik Aziz and Salahuddin Ayub exchanged firm handshakes before and soon after the meeting. Pakatan Rakyat supporters are believed to feel relieved following the recent updates as the dissenting parties are top figures in opposition parties the elder hold general advisor and the young turk hold deputy president respectively. Anwar was quoted as saying that he contacted the president of PAS in UK at the time to discuss the issues and he stressed that the president was consistent with the stand agreed during muktamar meeting among Pakatan leaders in Ipoh early this year.

In a nutshell, what a great and courageous steps taken by our great leaders in difficult times.

PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION IN IRAN

21 06 2009

Congratulations Mahmud, you deserve to win the election. It proved that the result is undisputable as you have won with a large margin, 62% over 38 percent. Ironically, your opposition keeps on staging protest and riot over the result. They claimed the rigging ballot during the election. There must something tranpired among the iranian top public figures. According to the news, former president was allegedly playing hidden hand which creates the havoc that still unabates until now.

A sermon from Grand Ayatullah last friday gave a clear cut stand where the grand ayatullah and the remaining 12 guardians gave their full support to the elected president Mahmud though being labelled as conservative. Mahmud’s firm principles play significant roles that won the hearts of many iranians especially those emotionally attached  with the overthrown of the former dictator Shah Iran in the Islamic revolution of Iran led by the late Ayatullah Khomeini.

Almost all media throughout the world dipict the reactions of small number of groups of people who favor Musavi.

It seems Musavi’s approach to fish the votes did not bear fruits. Iranian people are still emotionally engaged with the renaissance of Islamic Revolution led by Ayatullah khomeini.

I think America should be blamed for the flood crisis or any crisis stem from human apathy and indifference.

In a nutshell, mahmud is still the best president and i m sure he has a lot in store to bring about changes which are against poer
